Image Genetics

Hundreds of millions of pixels combined form an image, similarly to the construction of DNA forming a person. My research into Chuck Close, Robert Silvers and Nancy Burson lead me to create a physical representation of the pixel & DNA.

Using hundreds of family photographs and a self portrait of myself I made a mosaic ‘pixel’ effect image. Upon close inspection the spectator sees the building blocks of the photograph, of me.¬†When the spectator moves further away they see the completed image, the completed person.
